MedTechnologies Launches to Transform Healthcare Access, Prevention, and Insurance Through Technology
February 14, 2025DepistageQuebec.ca Tool
MSSS TGV Certified July 2024
Primarily configured for secure API integration with other systems (e.g., EMR, HUB, organizational screening automation), ScreeningQuebec can improve the quality and productivity of primary care screening. DepistageQuebec.ca can also be offered directly to users. This allows them to personalize (based on age, sex, personal and family history, etc.) the information found on: Quebec.ca preventive testing section, the MSSS Guide to Good Clinical Prevention Practices (GBPPC), and INESSS. In the absence of alternatives, they currently use Google and GPT Chat (which does not provide appropriate individualized information, fails to ask the necessary additional questions, and ultimately often generates inappropriate consultations/wait times).
We also align with user-centered values:
- User autonomy for those who wish to equip themselves and actively participate in managing their health
- Holistic approach (assessing a person as a whole rather than compartmentalizing them with piecemeal screening programs (breast cancer, colorectal cancer, etc.))
- Multidisciplinary approach: We can lighten the workload of general practitioners and address this need for patients without access to healthcare
For asymptomatic patients without chronic illnesses, this tool, supported as needed by nurses with group prescriptions and/or nurse practitioners, via integration with the HUB/EMD, allows for better population penetration of recognized preventive screening tests, which should lead to a reduction in morbidity/mortality and lower costs within a few years.
