Dr. Jean-Francois Ethier Joined MedTechnologies

We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Jean-Francois Ethier, MD, PhD as Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) for MedTechnologies, Medtech Insurance and our Preventive Health Screening Agentic AI solutions.

Dr. Ethier is an internist, Full University Professor (Medicine and Computer Science), and a recognized leader in health informatics and Learning Health Systems. His work has consistently focused on translating complex clinical and data environments into systems that are interoperable, scalable, and grounded in real-world care. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI)) and has played a key role in shaping Canada’s health data policy landscape.

In his role as CMIO, Dr. Ethier will strengthen how our platforms integrate across healthcare ecosystems, supporting alignment with clinical workflows, interoperability standards (including FHIR), and diverse data sources across jurisdictions. His leadership will help ensure that our preventive and insurance solutions work seamlessly with partners.
